If only it’s easy to lose weight there probably wouldn’t be overweight people. It takes a lot of self discipline and determination to shed off those unwanted fats, and even more if you want to live a healthy lifestyle right? This soup diet claimed to 4.5-7 kilograms weight lose if done properly, so why not? Seven days do not sound so difficult… Or so we thought so…
As expected, the first day was the toughest. Imagine seeing food photos in you FB timelime or watching food network? BUT – think about the goal! But the steak, the bread? Will we ever survive?
We were already thinking about having steak! After a short walk in the park we were having the low sugar symptoms! And we were very much looking forward to the baked potatoes! We were talking about it, like it’s the best potatoes we will ever have in our lives!
Third day was a bit better. We woke up excited to weigh ourselves. Jan shed off 400 gram, I went to 65.5 from 66.5 kilograms. And we were both: “They said we should have lose about 4 kilos??” But hey, better than nothing!
After just plain vegetables without any dressing, we can now have both fruits and vegetables! Wohoo! We had loads of fresh pressed apple and orange juice and soup of course. But I went out to take some photos of Christmas decorations, and boy! It was hell smelling the pancakes, sausages and fries in the market!
We made it to day 4! I made a banana shake using two things. 1 banana and skimmed milk. It tasted soo good! I will be honest I really miss meat! Looking forward to day 5! Wohoo!
Are we almost there? I went down to 64.9kg from 66.5kg. The best part of day 5 is getting 3-400 gram chicken.
It was a tough debate if we continue one more day or finish it today. We concluded we did not eat a lot of soup than we should have had that is why we only had 1.5 kilograms loss weight. So tonight we decided to end our 7-day soup diet! And felt a little bit, WTH! Hahaha Screw it! Let’s take a “few” crisps out. (We should start being healthy now, right?) 😀
DID IT WORK? Partly, yes – considering how little portion of soup we had each day.
I would say, yes it would have worked if we ate more than 4 bowls of soup each day. We had a huge steak tonight, minus the fat of course. I almost puked, eating the usual portion of meat that I normally have. I take that as a positive thing out of the diet. I have been taking more than what I should really be eating.
